Process Paper
1. Our topic for the history fair is about how Jackie Robinson broke baseball’s color barrier. All of the members in our group were all very interested in the particular topic. It was the only one that we really wanted to use when we were brainstorming about topics. We also all have an interest in watching sports, and this was a game changer in the sport of baseball.
2. When conducting our research, we looked through many different varieties of sources. By doing this, we found the most valuable information to add to our website. Mostly all of the research we did came from online sources, such as websites or online archives of different primary sources. In the end, we used the most important points in our research to make our website be the most informational it could be.
3. To make our website, we first had to agree on the theme and all the information that was going to be put into it. We organized our information by making different tabs to be put at the top of our website. We then added our different titles and paragraphs to display our information. Lastly, we found different interactive links that help enhance the learning experience from our website.
4. The theme for this years History Fair was, “Turning points in history”. Our topic of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier by all means relates to the theme. Robinson broke the color barrier in the MLB, which change the game forever and changed peoples ideas about African Americans. Jackie Robinson was also an advocate in the civil rights movement. He wrote letters to the President and persistently tired to change the ideas of many Americans.
